Hey Reader,
Almost exactly nine months ago, I made the decision to pull my youngest son out of daycare so I could spend more time with him before he started pre-K.
WELP, would you believe that about an hour ago, I dropped him off for his first day.
We promised each other that we would be brave.
He held up his end of the promise.
I… did not. 😭
Now I’m sitting in a very quiet house, sipping a mug of warm jasmine tea and reflecting on how much the past nine months shaped me and my business.
Because managing 1:1 clients, building and running a membership, and entertaining a four-year-old at the same time is A LOT.
And I’m really proud of the systems I put in place so I could continue serving my clients and growing The Systems Library while still being present with James (and with my oldest whenever he wasn’t in school).
It definitely didn’t happen overnight.
I rarely had giant chunks of dedicated time to work on my business. Most days, I worked with whatever little pockets of time I could find.
One workflow here.
One small improvement there.
And this season proved something I’ve believed for a long time:
Improving your systems does not have to become another giant project you need to carve out a three-hour block for.
Sometimes one small workflow is enough to make the next week feel a little easier.
