Hey Reader
My husband has been begging me to make sourdough bread for two years. He would do it himself but he’s got this condition where his hands get really sweaty at all times of the day for no reason. So we figured that would make some real salty bread LOL
Anyways. I put it off for the longest time cause it was overwhelming and if I'm being really honest, I was scared of failing.
Then one day I came across this lady on IG who said “it’s just bread.”
And for some reason that COMPLETELY changed my perspective on sourdough.
At the end of the day, it’s flour and water. If I messed it up, I could just try again. I had built sourdough up into this big intimidating thing in my head when really... it was just bread.
The next day, I started making my sourdough starter. It took TWO months before I had an active starter to bake.
I actually had to start over cause I didn’t know you had to clean your jar and it got moldy. So frustrating.
Anyways, I baked my first loaf. And it came out almost perfect. It was so fulfilling. And I've been baking a loaf almost every day since haha.
But here’s what you might or might not know about me. I have late diagnosed ADHD.
Which meant for the majority of my life, I would wonder why I struggled with meeting my goals or staying on track and not giving up when you don’t get that dopamine hit anymore (aka hitting bottlenecks).
So for the first time that I can remember in my adult life, I set a goal, and stuck with it through the obstacles, and baked something with it.
I’m currently making sourdough my whole personality lol but felt the urge to share this in case you feel like you’re in the same boat.
It doesn’t have to be sourdough.
Maybe for you, it’s your business.
You know there are things you want to make easier. Your onboarding. Your emails. Your follow-up. Figuring out how the heck all your tools are supposed to work together.
But somewhere along the way, “I should probably fix this” turns into “I need to streamline my entire backend.”
And now it feels like a whole PROJECT.
So you put it off because you don’t have the time or energy to deal with all of that right now. Or you don't have all the right tools for it.
That’s basically what I did with sourdough for two years.
And maybe sometimes we need someone to remind us:
It’s just bread.
You don’t have to know how to make the perfect loaf before you make your first one.
And you don’t have to figure out your entire backend before you make one part of your business easier.
That’s actually the whole philosophy behind The Systems Library.
One small win each week.
Find one thing that feels clunky. Put a workflow in place that makes it easier. Then keep going.
Because I truly believe streamlining your business doesn’t need to become a giant project.
And as The Systems Library has grown, I’ve been thinking a lot about how I can make sure the membership itself doesn’t accidentally become another giant course you feel like you need to keep up with.
Because there are now months and months of workflows inside.
Which is great... until you log in, see everything you could work on and think, “Okay but where the heck do I start?”
So I’m in the process of completely updating the member portal to make that easier.
One of the things I’m adding is the Workflow Matchmaker.
You’ll be able to share about what’s feeling clunky in your business, what you want to improve and the tools you already use, and it’ll help point you toward a workflow that actually makes sense for you right now.
I’m also in the process of testing something I’m REALLY excited about: personalized member playbooks.
The idea is that I can look at what’s happening in your business, what you’re trying to accomplish and where things are getting stuck, then help you figure out what makes sense to tackle first and which workflows inside the Library can help.
And because I’m still testing and refining these, if you join The Systems Library before August 12, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for a spot to receive a personalized member playbook.
Basically, I want The Systems Library to keep reminding you:
It’s just bread.
Pick a clunky process.
Make that one thing easier.
Get the small win.
Then we can figure out what comes next.
If that sounds like the kind of support you need, you can join The Systems Library here.
It’s currently $15/month, and if you join before August 12, you’ll keep that rate for as long as you stay subscribed.
On August 12, the membership moves to $27/month as I add more hands-on support, including monthly Q&A and guided co-working.
So if you’ve been thinking about joining, you’ve still got a few days to lock in the $15/month rate and apply for one of the personalized playbook spots.
I can't wait to support you, Reader!
With love,
Angela
